A common plant of hedgerows and shady woodland edges.
Height: 60 - 100cm
Leaves: Heart-shaped with serrated edges. Bright pale green. 5-10cm
Flowers: 4-petalled white flowers in small clusters.
Stems: Single upright stem
Other: Distinctive smell of garlic when bruised.
Look-alikes: The general shape of the plant and leaves combined with the garlic scent should be enough to avoid confusion with other plants.
