Description
Cap: 5-12cm Convex. White with rust-brown scales.
Gills: Free. Initially pinkish-grey; then deep pink; finally chocolate brown.
Stem: White. Stout with a large ring.
Spores: Dark brown
Flesh: White. Blushing red/pink especially along the sides of the stem and just above the gills.
Habitat: On the ground in mixed or coniferous woods.
