Description
Cap: 3-8cm. Conical with irregular margin. Grey-brown, paler towards edge.
Gills: Free and crowded. Initially white, then black and finally deliquescing
Stem: Off-white, smooth. A ring zone can sometimes be seen a the base of the stem
Spores: Date-brown
Habitat: In groups on the ground. Often growing from buried wood.
